qAnother Thirty-(Seven) Days (The Aftermath)q is an epistolary novel documenting a 37-day journey through the authoras life, wherein she faced her fatheras swiftly declining health due to an aggressive cancer that surgery (a Glossectomy that partially removed his tongue) failed to eradicate. The father/daughter relationship was further complicated because she hadnat seen him in eight years, and he had been absent all of her adult life. Her relationships with her mentally-challenged, narcissistic, and toxic mother, as well as with her vodka-swilling ex-husband, reared their ugly heads as her father lost his battle with cancer. The authoras emotions could not remain compartmentalized any longer, and her belief system in herself, and in God, gets tested. qAnother Thirty-(Seven) Days (The Aftermath)q is filled with raw emotion, honesty, self-reflection, humor, music, and Scripture, and is the follow-up to the authoras first book entitled qThirty-Seven Days and One Life (A Memoir)q.This was a major repair, and at least Ia#39;d get a loaner car as well. Elvin told me to take the car to the dealership, that hea#39;d cover the cost, and that I should have the dealership call him so that he ... But, because my brain was so fried, I wasna#39;t thinking straight, so I drove that sweet loaner car to Best Buy thinking that Ia#39;d find a $100 ... The Geek Squad told me that they could transfer my files (for $90) if I purchased a new or used computer, but that they couldna#39;t repair my cracked screen.
